TAPSFEST - the Annual Extravaganza
Since it's inception in the year 1992, this signature event of the school is growing by leaps and bounds . Thematic amalgamation of 25-30 events spread over two days , witnessing participation of more than 50 schools give, autumn ( August), every year ,memoirs to reckon with. The event hosts elite and progressive schools of Delhi - NCR in nail biting Competitions across all classes . Events include- Performing Arts , Tech events, e- sports ,creative abilities, brainteasers , oratory skills along with multifaceted club specific competitions . A much awaited event in the inter - school city circle, The TAPSFEST Rolling trophy is awarded to school with participation in more than fifty percent of the events and maximum score in the overall tally. Gen X Rolling trophy for tech- events hosted by Genesis clu of the school is als awarded each year. The inauguration and prize distribution is done by notable chief guest who grace the occasion on both days to boost morale of the mentors and students allike.
AUDAZ-THE DAUNTLESS
The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan organized it's much awaited cultural festival -Tapsfest on 30th and 31st August 2022. This was the 29th TAPSFEST edition organized by the school. It was eagerly anticipated by the students and teachers alike as this time it was held in the offline mode after two years of lockdown.
The theme of the fest this year was AUDAZ-THE DAUNTLESS. The theme was chosen keeping in mind the past two years which forced us to look inwards and come out as better versions of ourselves. The aim this year was to display the victory that humanity has achieved, for we have faced a tough challenge together and emerged the other side as more powerful, wise and grateful individuals. As we traverse on the road of recovery towards a new normal we are dauntless – the brave.
The fest was organized for two consecutive days comprising of myriads of events, both cultural and academic embodying the spirit of the theme. The events were bold, fierce and helped students showcase their dynamic talents. The fest was inaugurated by the esteemed Principal of the school ,Mrs. Komal Sood.
The fest had a certain soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant. Students were ecstatic to be part of such a huge event and helped out in any way they could.
The fest was a super success, there were a total of 1200 students from over 51 top- notch schools of Delhi, participating in 19 events spread over two days of fun and fiesta.
The events gave the entire school, including its students an opportunity to implement their technical know-how, in brainstorming and coming up with new ideas and in learning something new by the end of the day. There were lots of new events which were fun and riveting such as Nukkad Natak. There was also an event specially designed for children with special needs which was a mega-success.
The fest culminated with the prize distribution ceremony.
