ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL, DHAULA KUAN 2 November 2016
AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR EMPOWERING THE PARENTS
CLASS VI, VII, VIII, IX and X
‘CHILDREN’S VULNERABILITIES AND THEIR PREVENTION’
Taking risks is a normal and common part of growing up. This is because teenagers need to explore their own limits and abilities, as well as the boundaries you set. It’s part of their path to becoming independent young adults.
There are things you can do to help your child stay safe and ease your own anxiety.
Parental direction has a powerful effect on the reduction of risk behavior in young adolescents. A limited ability for abstract reasoning during early adolescence requires clear anticipatory guidance by parents and an active effort to maintain communication in the child-parent relationship.
Keeping the above in mind, the parents are requested to attend a workshop conducted by the school counselor, in the school premises.
